Structure explores structure as it can be applied to physical, organizational, conceptual, spatial, contextual and fixed as well as plastic approaches in the consideration of and making of art and design. Students will gain experience and direct knowledge from hands-on exploration through a variety of ways of thinking about and applying structure.

Visiting Resident Artist, The Iowa Ceramics Center, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, 2017
This four-week residency provided a dedictated period of time to produce and install a new body of work. In addition to the expectiation of producing work, I was required to give a public lecture, teach two sessions of Conversations in Clay, and two sessions of youth summer clay camp.
Public Relations for the Ceramics Department, Ohio University, 2016
Create and disperse promotional material for all visiting artists and departmental events as well as act as liaison between department and visiting artists, including fielding all questions and ensuring smooth transitions between scheduled events while visiting.
Studio Technician, Community Creative Center, Fayetteville, Arkansas, 2014 to 2015
Responsibilities included firing all ceramic work produced in the Center, maintaining and fixing kilns and other equipment (pug mill, spray booth, slab roller), ensuring all glazes and materials were mixed and stocked, being available as a resource to support open studio members while working, and maintaining a clean and efficient studio environment.

Community Art Initiatives
Rendered and Remembered: A Ceramic Garden, Fayetteville, Arkansas, 2015
A project sponsored by the Walton Art Center’s annual Artosphere event, Rendered and Remembered: A Ceramic Garden was an installation of more than one thousand hand built porcelain flowers made by myself and members of the community. Based on notions of locale and memory, I accompanied groups of five to fifteen people on tours of the Botanical Gardens of the Ozarks and then taught them how to make porcelain flowers like the live native versions we had just seen.
